About WAMUNC
What is WAMUNC?
The Washington Area Model United Nations Conference (WAMUNC) is the annual high school Model UN conference of the George Washington University since 1998. The conference is hosted in March at the George Washington University’s Foggy Bottom campus in the heart of Washington, DC.
WAMUNC offers 16 different committees for delegates to participate in, ranging from traditional general bodies of the United Nations, specialized bodies like the U.S. Senate, European Union, or Association of Southeast Asian Nations, as well as a unique blend of crisis-style committees based on historical and modern-day events.
